Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS, has notified that in view of the detection of 1 (One) COVID-19 positive Staff in the Office of the Executive Engineer, PHED (Urban), Kohima Nagaland, the District Task Force (DTF) during its emergency meeting held on 19th July 2020 decided to seal the Office w.e.f 20th July 2020.

The OPD and other medical services are still continuing and has not ceased to function because of Corona. This was stated by Deputy CMO Dimapur, Dr.Antoly during the District Task Force meeting today 20th July 2020. Informing that Government has a policy not to stop immunisation, she informed all the colony/ village leaders to convey the message to the wards to avail the required vaccines.

The Central Government, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has enacted the Food Safety & Standards Act 2006 and the Food Safety & Standards (Food Products standards and Food Addictives) Regulation 2011, to regulate the safety of food articles safe for human consumption.

“As on today, the total number of positive cases in the State stands at 988. All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
