ADC Mon & Administrator Mon Town Council (MTC), Y. Chingyak Konyak issued a notification stating that with all wards under its jurisdiction have been declared Open Defecation Free since 2017, MTC would also soon be declared ODF+.

Wati Aier in an order banned the trading and hunting of wild animals/birds under the wildlife protection act, 1972 and in compliance with the Government's directives and in the interest of protecting and conserving the wildlife population of the district. The order stated that all the villages under the Kiphire district shall strictly implement the ban with immediate effect.
