The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department in coordination with Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati issues weather updates for the coming days.

Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio, has expressed his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, for sanctioning the new Medical College at Mon, in Nagaland. This will go a long way in fulfilling the needs of the far flung districts of the state as well as other neighbouring States like Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, a release stated.

In the interest of public health and safety and as a measure of abundant caution in view of prevailing COVID-19 situation, the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has issued orders on 18th August 2020 and the following houses are sealed till further order. No unauthorised entry/exit to/from the sealed houses shall be allowed during the sealed period.

SDO (C) & Administrator Noklak Town Council, Noklak, C. Phuniang, NCS in an order issued on 17th September 2020 stated that, basing on the meeting minutes of the District Task Force on Covid-19 held on 11th September 2020, all concerned have been that unregulated disposal of used safety kits like masks, hand sanitizer container, hand gloves/PPE kits have potential of causing adverse long term hazard to health and environment.

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS in an order stated that with reference to the No Objection Certificates (NOCs) issued by the Village Councils/Councils of T. Khel, P. Khel, D. Khel, L. Khel, Phesama, Meriema, Pfuchama, Jotsoma, Thizama and Kigwema, it is informed to the public that any new developments along the RoW of the proposed 2-Lane Kohima-Bypass Road Project should not be undertaken by any individual/clans/groups/organizations.
