Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima, Shanavas C IAS in a press release stated that with the announcement of the General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election, 2023 by the Election Commission of India through a Press Note No. ECI/PN/1/2023 dated 18th January 2023 and in pursuance of the Chief Electoral Officer Press Release No.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Imokokla had scheduled the meeting for Republic Day 2023 celebration in the ADC office in Chozuba at 11: 00 AM on 20th January.

According to the notification issued by ADC vide NO.CZBA/ DEV- 19/ RLD/ 14-15/ 396 dated Chozuba 17th January to deliberate on the detailed programme for the 74th Republic Day celebration 2023 at Chozuba Sub-Division. The head of offices under the Sub-Division was directed to attend the meeting without fail.

Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Zunheboto in an order stated that in pursuance of the forthcoming General Election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election 2023, all the Head of the Offices have been directed to be in the station and further daily attendance report to be submitted to the undersigned office by 3:00 PM on daily basis. Non-compliance to this order will be taken seriously and dealt with as per Section 62 of the Representative of Peoples Act 1951.

With the announcement of the General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 by the Election Commission of India through a press conference dated 18th January 2023, Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Phek, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has informed all concerned that the Model Code of Conduct comes into force with immediate effect throughout Phek District. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Tiameren Chang has informed that to ensure a free and fair election in the forthcoming General Election all the arm License holders under the Pughoboto sub-division have been directed to deposit their Arms at the nearest Police station on or before the last date of withdrawal of candidature which is 10th February 2023.
