As the State prepares for the upcoming General Election in 2023, the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Diethono Nakhro has written to the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, to remind that all measures need to be taken to enable all voters with disabilities to exercise their franchise without any obstacles or barriers, in line with the ECI’s Strategic Fram

The Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS), Nagaland under the aegis of the Nagaland Livestock Development Board (NLDB) on 5th August 2022, officially launched the second phase of the pivotal scheme, “National Animal Disease Control Programme on Foot and Mouth Disease (NADCP). It was launched by Dr. Nsanthung Ezung, Director, AH&VS at the NLDB Office, Dairy Farm Complex, Lerie, Kohima.

A two-member central team on Jal Shakti Abhiyan ‘Catch the Rain‘ (JSA:CTR) visited Dimapur district from 3rd to 5th August 2022. The team comprising of Central Nodal Officer, JSA:CTR & Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, New Delhi, Sukh Lal Meena and Technical Officer, JSA:CTR & Scientist-D (Hydrogeology) CGWB NER, Guwahati, inspected various projects and activities undertaken by various departments under JSA:CRR in Dimapur district. 

Chozuba sub-division organised mass social work on 6th August 2022 to mark the 75th Independence Day 2022 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav preparation.

Government offices were cleaned by staff, public along with security forces.

In view of the need to eradicate the menace of plastic and the serious environmental and ecological challenges posed by rampant uses of plastics, DC Peren, Vineet Kumar IAS, has issued the following directives for strict compliance across Peren district:

In pursuance to the letter received from Nagaland Pollution Control Board and in compliance to the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Vineet Kumar IAS has directed the public to strictly adhere to the following sections of the aforementioned Rules to ensure maintenance of noise standards: 

1.              Loudspeakers and Public Address system shall not be used except after obtaining written permission from the authority.
