DC Kohima Shanavas C, IAS has informed that due to the detection of African Swine Fever (ASF) in various locations in Kohima district, the following areas have been notified as: 

ADC Pfutsero, Japheth Woch NCS has informed that unusual death of pigs is being reported from Phusachudu village and the pigs were found to be affected with high fever and anorexia. Similar reports were also received from Pfutsero town and villages under Pfutsero Sub-Division. The collection of blood samples of the affected pigs and post-mortem on carcass has been carried out for further Lab testing.

The Government of Nagaland has constituted a State level Committee for coordination and necessary logistic arrangement for the upcoming Chess Olympiad Torch Relay, as part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebration, to be held at Kohima on 11th July, 2022. The Committee shall consist of the following members:

Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Sivasagar, Assam has reinforced night curfew from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM in the 5 km belt in Assam side of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland state with effect from 4th June 2022 for 60 days.
