With the Covid positive cases and positivity rate of Dimapur district showing a declining trend, all private hospitals at Dimapur district would be reverted to non-Covid hospitals for the time being unless under un-avoidable situation. The decision was taken on 28th June 2021 at Hotel Saramati Dimapur, during a joint meeting of Private Doctors Association (PDA) Dimapur with State Nodal Officer Y.

With a view to mitigate Food Security during the Pandemic period, it has been informed that the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services through NEC project has initiate promotion of Backyard Poultry Farming in the State. Fast Growing Birds are being reared in the Department Farm to cater the demand of poultry reares. The current batch scheduled for sale on the 8th July 2021 is targeted for Poultry Farmers under Peren and Dimapur Districts.

A special vaccination drive on Covid-19 sensitisation program will be organized by District Horticulture Office, Kiphire and in collaboration with the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kiphire on 2nd& 3rd July 2021 at 7 Villages under Kiphire district with Sr. Scientist, KVK, Kiphire, Dr.N. Khumdemo Ezung as the resource person.
