ADC Kohima, Bhavani Sri IAS has informed all Area Administrative Officers under Kohima district to strictly follow the revised discharged policy for COVID-19 confirmed cases and also the guidelines for home isolation mild/asymptomatic COVID cases in Kohima issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department, Nagaland. (Annexure attached )

Additional Deputy Commissioner Pfutsero in an order stated that in pursuance to the Phek Deputy Commissioner’s order and to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the Sub-Division, total lockdown has been extended and shall continue to remain operative at Pfutsero Sub-Division till 11th June 2021 with existing guidelines. 

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS has directed all the District Administrative Officers under Kohima district to disseminate the information on any resistance/ refusal to test by known contacts of Covid-19 cases may henceforth be deemed to have violated the 'Nagaland Epidemic Disease(COVID-19) Regulations 2020' and booked under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.

In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, DC Mon Thavaseelan K IAS on 31st May 2021 ordered the sealing of the following houses in Mon Town:

World No Tobacco Day was observed at Dimapur under the theme “Commit to quit” on 31st May 2021. In commemorating the event, the District Tobacco Control Cell, Dimapur organized an online art competition based on the theme. Altogether, 674 students from 52 Tobacco Free Educational Institutions participated in the competition.

World No Tobacco Day was observed at Mon at DC’s Conference Hall, Mon on 31st May 2021 with the theme, "Commit to Quit".
