Commemorating "Azad Ki Amrit Mahotsav-75 years of Indian Independence", Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), Rural Development department, Dimapur, organised training cum distribution of morpho device to Digipay Sakhi in collaboration with Common Service Center (CSC) on 10th August 2021 at DC’s conference hall.

Speaking as the special guest, ADC Dimapur, Atokhe Aye, NCS, exhorted the beneficiaries to shine for the department, reminding them that they are privileged as the department reposed faith on them by selecting them.

Pointing out that SHGs in Dimapur were very sincere and hardworking, Aye while lauding the banks for their continuous support, requested them to further elevate the SHGs to higher levels in terms of economic activities through their constant cooperation and intervention. He handed over the morpho devices to 13 beneficiaries to mark the special occasion of 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence.

Project Director, DRDA Dimapur, Kethosituo Sekhose, in his brief address, advised the beneficiaries to master the art of handling the device properly before using it for any transaction as it involves money. He further sought ideas from the beneficiaries so that the department could extent support in the best interest of the rural community.

Sekhose also requested the banks for extending similar or higher cooperation to the SHGs even in the days to come. He also asked the line departments utilising Direct Bank Transfer to study the feasibility of converging the Digi Pay which is being introduced in Nagaland.

DPRO Dimapur, Lolano Patton, lauded the NSRLM for living up with the mission's aim of alleviating poverty and creating sustainable livelihood opportunity for the rural people, thereby contributing towards socio economic change through holistic and inclusive development. She observed that the morpho device for digipay would go a long way for providing better access to financial services besides saving time, ensuring security, transparency and would be a lot more convenient.

SPM-FI SMMU NSRLM, Rajusalie Lhousu, highlighted on Digipay Sakhi while CSC, District Manager, Dimapur, Along spoke on the importance and utilisation of the device.Officials from the banking community also spoke on the occasion, where they assured of extending all possible help to the SHGs.

ADPM, DMMU, NSRLM, M.Yimok Phom delivered the welcome note while DC- FI, DMMU, NSRLM, Y.Agnes Ezung proposed the vote of thanks. AC- BMMU Kuhuboto, NSRLM, Zgevi Achumi chaired the program.
