The Chief Experience Officer (CEO) meeting was organised by Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) with the vision to transform the rural poor youths into an economically independent and global workforce.
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY), a centrally sponsored scheme, is a placement linked skill development programme of Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, which is also part of National Rural Livelihood Mission with a dual objective of adding diversity to the income of rural poor families and to cater to the aspirations of the rural youths. The main objective of the DDUGKY is to train the rural youths and provide placement opportunities to those who have successfully completed the course.
Guest speaker, Minister, Rural Development, Metsubo Jamir stated that during the recently held CSR Conclave, over 100 companies have assured to invest in our State. Since workforce will be needed in any investment, he hoped that the trainees under the DDUGKY and various training institutes in the State will fill the gap of workforce.
Tenzing Choesang, North-East Regional Representative, MoRD, Dean Clyde Cooper, Learning & Development Manager-THE DEN Bengaluru and Anil Makwana, M.D, Talent Acquaintance also spoke on the occasion. Imtimenla, Joint Secretary, RD and Mission Director, NSRLM chaired the meeting.
