The Peren District Task Force meeting was held on 19th April 2021 at DC's Conference Hall which was chaired by DC and Chairman DTF Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS.

The House deliberated on the second wave of Covid-19 and discussed about the restrictions of returnees to the District and Covid care centres which need to be ready for any eventuality. The DTF members also deliberated on strict enforcement of SOP and handling of positive cases in the District with arrangements in place at Covid Hospital CHC Jalukie, Covid care centres, District Hospital Peren and CHC Tening.

The Medical Department have been asked to be prepared beforehand so as to avoid shortages and complications. Police Department have been entrusted to look into the enforcement of penalties on the general public for violations of SOP. The gathering also discussed on the closure of educational institutions and entry points to the District.

The DC requested the Church and Civil Societies to disseminate information regarding the Covid-19 vaccine, which are made available in all blocks in the District. The Meeting was attended by representatives from NZPO, ZBCC, Medical Department, Police and District Administration.
