A special operation team (SOT), Longleng District, under the supervision of SDPO Longleng arrested 2 (two) persons namely: (i) Kamyang Phom S/o Chingkam of Hukphang village and (ii) Apang Phom S/o Nyakba of Yanching Village while conducting frisking of vehicles on 4th September2021, at around 05:00AM.

They were travelling in a night bus service from Dimapur to Longleng and were found in possession of suspected brown sugar concealed in four soap cases. They have been taken into custody and criminal case registered in Longleng Police Station for further investigation.

During 2021, upto 04/09/2021, fifteen (15) cases have been registered in connection with NDPS Act and other drug related cases and have arrested 23 accused persons and also good amount of Brown Sugar and other illegal drugs recovered and investigations taken up.
