ZUNHEBOTO TOWN TO SATAKHA TOWN ROAD CLOSED
Zunheboto Deputy Commissioner Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS has informed that in view of the massive landslide between Zunheboto town and Satakha town along the Zunheboto -Chakabama two-lane road and to facilitate the early clearance of debris and to prevent anything injury or loss of life, the stretch of road from Zunheboto town to Satakha town has been closed for all forms of traffic movements till further order.
ONE CONVICTED FOR ATTEMPT TO EXTORTION, MISCHIEF & CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION AT WOKHA
The Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Wokha, Julian Sitlhou, NJS convicted and sentenced one accused Abenthung Kikon to undergo simple imprisonment of 1 (One) year for the commission of an attempt to extort under Section 385 IPC, for mischief under section 427 IPC to simple imprisonment of 6 (Six) months and for criminal intimidation under section 506 (I) IPC to simple imprisonment of 6 months.

The Nagaland Board of School Education has informed that the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-India has recently launched the 16th Edition of the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge, the theme of which is ‘Birds of the World’. The challenge is open for Classes-6 to 9 and registration of schools is free of cost.

In view of the massive landslides which have occurred on 26th and 27th June 2023 along NH 702 at locations KM 0.0 to KM 16.592 between Changtongya and Longleng, Deputy Commissioner Mokokcung, Thsuvisie Poji has issued a travel advisory on 28th June 2023 stating that the total restriction of movement of all kinds of vehicles along the aforementioned route is imposed with immediate effect.
