INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT TOBU

The 76th Independence Day was observed at Tobu H.Q. with Advisor DUDA, Bongkhao Konyak as chief guest who unfurled the National flag read the Independence Day speech and saluted by five parade contingents.

 Other highlights included entertainment items by GPS ‘A’ Tobu, GPS’B’ Tobu, GPS ‘C’ Tobu and Tobu Village Baptist Church Youth.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT PUNGRO

Pungro Town under Kiphire District celebrated 76 th Independence Day on 15 th August
2022 at Public Ground Pungro Town with Deputy Speaker NLA, T Yangseo Sangtam as the
special guest.
Earlier flag hoisting was done in all the government and private Offices. Minister inspect
the parade contingents and took salute from seven parade contingents. Later he unfurled the
National flag and address his speech. The parade contingent were   from pungro Village, GHSS

Tizit observed the Independence Day celebration at the Local ground Tizit Hq with
Advisor Land Resources, C.L. John gracing the occasion. He unfurled the Nation Flag followed
by a rendition of the National Anthem by Holy Trinity School Tizit. John read out the
Independence Day speech.

DC KOHIMA CLARIFIES ON HOISTING OF NATIONAL FLAG

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C, IAS in a notice stated that there has been some misinformation spreading in certain sections of the population in and around Kohima district regarding distribution of National Flag of India claiming that directions have been given for mandatory hoisting of the Tricolour in individual households, shops, etc. in view of the Government of India's "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign.

DC KOHIMA INFORMS ON REMOVAL OF OFF ROAD VEHICLES & DUMPED CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AT THE ROADSIDE

In continuation to the Office of Deputy Commissioner Kohima order no. of even number dated 23rd March 2022, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C, IAS on 13th August 2022, has ordered that off road vehicles and roadside dumped - construction materials causing obstruction and defacement of public spaces must be removed with immediate effect. 

The order also stated that failure to comply with the order shall attract penal action as per relevant provisions of law.
