Peren District COVID-19 Task Force meeting was held on 10th August, 2020 at DC Chamber, District Hq. Peren under the chairmanship of DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS who is also the DTF Chairman. The meeting was also attended by representatives from JAC, NZPO President and ZSU (N) President.

The total lockdown in Tizit sub-division has extended for another 2 days 10th &11th August 2020 and would be lifted 12th August 2020.Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has informed that during the period of lockdown the movement of public shall remain strictly prohibited except on medical emergencies. All business/commercial establishments, shops shall remain closed. Movement of private vehicles except those permitted is banned.

Realising the need for maintaining social distancing in view of the present COVID 19 pandemic, the new office building of Assistant Director Supply, Bank Colony Dimapur was inaugurated by Advisor, F&CS Nagaland, Pukhayi Sumi which was held virtually by providing link to all concerned, today 10th August 2020. 

Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has issued orders on 10th August 2020 that the drivers /handymen / passengers of trucks bringing in essential commodities to Tuensang Town are de - boarding from their vehicles and mixing with the local population. And despite repeated directions to shopkeepers /business establishments to ensure that no drivers /handyman /Passengers of trucks de - board from their vehicles while unloading of goods, this unsafe practice remains unchecked.

The total lockdown which was imposed on 4th to 10th August 2020 has been extended for another 7th days in the 11th to 17th August 2020.Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has informed that the public movement shall remain strictly prohibited except on medical emergencies.
