Gregory Thejawelie NCS, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, taking cognizance of the violations of safety and preventive measures notified by the government has issued the following directives for strict compliance of the general public in Kohima District.

"Good evening,

Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Hiazu Meru issued the report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential goods and services regarding COVID-19 lock down across the State as on 11th May 2020.

Wokha District Task Force held an emergency meeting to discuss the matter regarding the arrival of the stranded student’s and persons from outside the State and other important issues on COVID-19 at the DC’s conference hall, Wokha on 12th May 2020.

In connection with report of the death of animals such as Mithun, cattles, goats in some parts of the district and suspected to be an outbreak of Anthrax which is zoonotic and possess public health hazard the Deputy Commissioner Longleng, M. Shayung Phom has informed in an order that selling/slaughter of mithun, cattles, goat and import of the aforementioned animals is banned in the district with immediate effect until further order.
