“As at 4 P.M. today, a total of 961 samples of suspected cases have been sent for testing from the State. The results of 914 samples have been received and all have been tested as negative. The results for the remaining 47 samples are awaited. In addition a total of 25 samples have been tested by Truenat and all are negative.
Chief Secretary, Temjen Toy IAS on 18th May 2020 has issued an order with partial modification of the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) whereby all persons entering the State from 18th May 2020 onwards, irrespective of place of origin of journey shall undergo 14 (fourteen) days Institutional Quarantine at designated centres and thereafter proceed for 14(fourteen) days mandatory Home Quarantine.

Shayung Phom has informed to all the parents/guardians of the returnees from outside the state to report at the COVID-19 war room with effect from 18th May 2020 for the purpose of signing an "undertaking on quarantine".
