Consequent upon the declaration of the results of the Bye-Election to Ward-11 under Chumoukedima Town Council, Ward-8 under Wokha Town Council and Ward-9 under Atoizu Town Council and the completion of the election process, the State Election Commission, Nagaland has notified that the Model Code of Conduct which came into operation from the date of the Notification of the Election Programme shall cease to be in force with effect from the midnight of 19th June 2026.

DC KOHIMA ISSUES ASF CONTAINMENT ORDER
Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, NCS, has issued an order following the confirmation of an outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) at T. Khel Model Village, Khikha Colony under Kohima district.
According to a laboratory test report received from the Office of the Chief Veterinary Officer, Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, the outbreak was confirmed on June 11, 2026.
M. G. KENYE CONVENES COMMITTEE MEETING OF CEALPP
M. G. Kenye, Minister, Parliamentary Affairs and the Chairperson of the Committee to Examine the Applicability of Law passed by Parliament (CEALPP) has conveyed it's Meeting to adopt its draft report on the 24th of June, 2026 at 12: 00 A.M in the C. Chongshen Committee Room of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Kohima.
All the members of the Committee are requested to make it convenient to attend the afore mentioned meeting.
