Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima Shanavas C, IAS has informed that because of the ensuing 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election, 2023, all Arms License holders of Kohima district are to produce the arms license(s) for verification at the nearest Police Station as per the address given in the Arms License on or before 20th January 2023.

Deputy Commissioner & DEO Phek, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS informed that in view of the ongoing Special Revision of Electoral Roll w.r.t 01.01.2023 as qualifying date, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, NCS, Secretary, Excise and Electoral Roll Observer for Phek District has scheduled to visit Phek District on 19th December 2022.

The Department of Technical Education is scheduled to inaugurate Government Polytechnic Hukpang under Longleng district on 17th December 2022 with Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio as the Chief Guest. 

In view of the forthcoming General Election to Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023, Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto informed all concerned Arms License holders that all arms shall be deposited to the nearest Police Station on or before 20th January 2023, as per provisions of the Representation of Peoples Act 1951.

The Nagaland Board of School Education has informed that the Election Commission of India has issued instructions to maximize the enrolment of young/prospective electors from the campuses through active participation of educational institutions, the details of which are given below:
