STATE ROUND UP REPORT ON COVID-19

State Emergency Operation Centre Control room COVID-19 Government of Nagaland Home Department has issued the report on Law & Order across the state as on 7th May 2020. The Principal Secretary Abhijit Sinha, stated that 15(fifteen) persons violated the lock down & curfew order and 17 (Seventeen) person were bound down while remedial steps action were taken.

STRANDED PEOPLE HEAD HOME FROM MOKOKCHUNG

On the second (8th May 2020), a total of 287 indigenous Nagas made their journey from Mokokchung to different parts of the state. From NST Station Mokokchung, two buses with 68 passengers left for Dimapur, 1 Bus with 20 passengers to Longleng, 3 Buses with 75 passengers to Tuensang, 3 Buses with 70 passengers to Kohima and 2 buses with 54 passengers from Changtongya and Tuli.

FOREST OFFICERS/STAFF EXEMPTED

All concerned have been hereby informed that forest officers and staffs are exempted from the purview of COVID-19 lockdown measures inorder to carry their various essential duties and activities. The staff/ workers of forest department are required to operate and maintain zoo, nurseries, wildlife, fire-fighting in forest, watering plantations, patrolling and their necessary transport movements in and around the Kiphire district.
