Considering the immense potential to promote flowers in protected and open condition with technology back up and scheme support in the region after having seen flowers like orchids, gerbera and carnation being successfully grown in Nagaland, an online training programme and interactive session was jointly organised by District Administration, Dimapur and Central Institute of Horticulture, Medziphema, in association with Floriculture Association of Dimapur on 25th July 2020.

Mon District Task Force held an emergency meeting on 26th July 2020 at the DC’s conference hall, Mon. Total lockdown has been enforced in Mon Town from 27th July to 2nd August 2020, in the light of certain emerging circumstances and a view to contain the spread of COVID-19. In this connection, Chumlamo Humtsoe, SDO (Civil) Sadar Mon has notified the following:

1.     Movement of public is strictly prohibited except medical emergencies.

Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has informed that the following guidelines are issue for all the persons entering Mon District from other District of Nagaland.

“The total number of positive cases in the State as on today stands at 1,289. The positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie has notified that in view of the detection of a COVID-19 positive person residing at the following locations viz. Lower Chandmari (Ward No. 13), Daklane Ward No 7, New Minister’s Hill Ward No. 16 and Mima Village under Jakhama Sub-Division, the area defined below are demarcated as SEALED AREA in order to contain the spread of the disease/infection and for necessary contact tracing.

1.      As part of the plans to organize the Assembly Session on 30th July, 2020 by strictly adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures and the other necessary precautionary measures, the Hon'ble Speaker has decided that all those coming to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat premises on 30th July, 2020, whether to attend the Session or as part of the supporting staff, including all the Hon'ble Ministers/Advisors/MLAs and the Officers and Staff of the Assembly Secretariat, will h
