With the consolidate efforts of the District Administration and Longleng Town Council in collaboration with the NGOs and civil societies such as the Phom People's Council, Phom Students' Conference & Phomla Hoichen, the Village Councils, Students Community, Village Guards, GBs & DBs and Churches the entire villages under Longleng district have been on lockdown along with the district headquarter Longleng and Tamlu sub-division since the lockdown begins on 26th March

In exercise of the powers conferred by the Nagaland Epidemic Disease (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020 under the Epidemic Disease Act 1897, clause no. 13 'no individual/institution/organization will use any print or electronic media for information regarding COVID-19 without prior permission' from recognized authority.
