With the LOCKDOWN entering the second week in the state and restriction on movement of vehicular as well as human traffic, citizens of Kohima, like everywhere else in the country are beginning to encounter certain hardships due to this enforced regulation.

In partial modification of Order NO.NO.DCK/CON/COVID-19/2020/487 Dtd.25/3/2020 the following directives are hereby issued for strict compliance of all concerned:
DCs INFORMED FOR TAKING PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha has informed all the Deputy Commissioner of Nagaland for precautionary measures for maintaining peace and tranquillity on the occasion of Ram Navami and Hanuman Javanti on 2nd and 8th April 2020 respectively.
DC MON DIRECTS SHOPKEEPERS
Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K IAS has directed all shopkeepers within Mon District to issue cash memo to the customers for every purchase.
Further, people are advised to ensure receipt of the cash memo. In case of any complaint in regard to price hike, selling above MRP etc it will be mandatory to produce the cash memo as an evidence.
DC MON NOTIFIES ON PURCHASE OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES
Deputy Commissioner, Mon issued an order in modification of this office order No.GA/DEV/COVID-19/2020/216/Dated 27th of March 2020, the following regulations are hereby imposed for purchase of essential commodities in Mon Town with effect from 6th April 2020 till further orders.

Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland issued the report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & Services for the 5th of April 2020. According to the report, 3 violations of the lockdown were reported. 6 persons were bound down and Rs 1500 has been imposed as fine. No law and order incidents have been reported in the State.
