Department of Information Technology and Communication on 4th April 2020 has issued an advisory to all Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) to co-ordinate with the District Administration/Police and local authorities at the District and village levels before visiting telecom sites for maintenance and monitoring activities so as to avoid any unpleasant/untoward incident. 

Department of Urban Development Nagaland has issued a circular on 4th April 2020 with regard to the decision taken by the Government of India to provide a onetime ex-gratia payment of Rs.500/- per month for the next three months (starting from 1st April) to all women Pradhan Mantri Jan DhanYojana (PMJDY) account holders through the Pradhan MantriGaribKalyanYojana(PMGKY) Package.

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS has informed that in partial modification of the previous order of the office of the Deputy Commissioner Kohima, all grocery shops and bakeries within Kohima Municipal Area are directed to open to general public from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon only. Further the general public are also directed to visit only the nearest grocery shops and bakeries within their respective wards/colonies so as to insure public safety.

The full text of the message by the Administrator, KMC, Kovi Meyase to the citizens of Kohima on the prevailing COVID-19 situation is as follows:

“Dear Citizens of Kohima,

Many organizations and individuals have come forward to contribute towards the fund drive effort that was initiated by District Administration, Tuensang to provide immediate relief to the families that were most affected by the total lockdown. The target groups being destitute, daily wage earners, orphans, stranded students, stranded migrant workers etc.
