DIPR CAUTIONS

With reference to the news item in Naga News dated, 29th April 2020 regarding one patient testing positive for COVID-19 at Tuensang, it is clearly mentioned that this was a mock drill exercise held at the GHSS Tuensang. As such, everyone is cautioned to refrain from sending out false information to the public through social media platforms unnecessarily creating unrest among the people.

DC KOHIMA ISSUES ORDER ON LOCKDOWN

The Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie NCS issued an order stating that all the existing guidelines with regard to lockdown in Kohima District as notified earlier will continue to remain operatives till further Order. The directives are issued for strict compliance of all concerned.

The Order was issued with reference to the Chief Secretary Order dated 2nd May 2020.

MINISTER FOR HEALTH & FAMILY WELFARE VISITS DISTRICT HOSPITAL WOKHA

State Health & Family Welfare Minister S.Pangnyu Phom visited Wokha COVID-19 District Hospital to oversee the preparedness taken by the District Task Force (DTF) and Health department to contain COVID-19 Pandemic crisis in the district. Mention may be made that Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital is presently designated as COVID-19 district hospital.

DC TUENSANG NOTIFIES ON IMPORT OF PIGS

In pursuance to notification received from the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Government of Nagaland and in view of the reported outbreak of "African Swine Fever" and high mortality of pigs in the neighbouring States, in this regard, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has informed to all concerned that the import of pigs from outside the state is banned under Tuensang district jurisdiction with immediate effect.
