MEMBERS DISCUSS ON BUDGET 2023-24
MLA, Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu participating in the general discussion on the budget said that the budget is pro people and is in common man’s interest. He suggested that a consultative meeting of all the 60 members be held regarding the budget. He suggested that the nomenclature of Advisor should be changed to Minister of State.
NLA DELIBERATES ON NAGALAND MUNICIPAL ACT, 2001
Advocate-General Nagaland, K.N. Balgopal gave a brief explanation and appraised the members of the 14th NLA on the Nagaland Municipal Amendment Act and the views of the Supreme Court on the floor of the house.

FINANCE DEPARTMENT CLARIFIES
Finance Department, in a release, has referred to the news articles appearing in the local dailies relating to the closing budget deficit. The Press have in their write-up indicated a deficit budget of Rs. 1374.17 crore for the financial year 2023-24. The Department has clarified that this is the accumulated deficit. For the year 2023- 24, for which the budget was presented by the Chief Minister, the deficit is Rs.
SCHOOL EDUCATION INFORMS IN-SERVICE HINDI TEACHERS
The Directorate of School Education has informed all Government In-Service Hindi Teachers that the Directorate of School Education in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Nagaland is organising Orientation Training program for In-Service Hindi Teachers posted at Dimapur, Chumukedima and Niuland districts w.e.f 29th to 31st March 2023 at Kuda Youth Hall, Half Nagarjan.<
