FRESH LOCAL FISH STALL INAUGURATED

M & N Fish Enterprise, under the aegis of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Nagaland, opened its Fresh Local Fish Stall at the Fish Kiosks on 30th October 20020 at Secretariat Road, New Capital Complex, Kohima. The stall was inaugurated by Deputy Director, Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Ketuselie, in the presence of Assistant Director/District Fishery Officer, Dr. Vimezo Kere, owner of M & N Fish Enterprise A. Angami, and well wishers.

ADC & ADMINISTRATOR LONGLENG NOTIFIES

In compliance to the state Government's new consolidation guidelines and as per the direction of Directorate of Municipal Affairs letter No. DMA/T-288/Covid 19-ULBs/2020/101, Dated Kohima, the 2nd September 2020, guidelines on safety practices in high risk setting to prevent transmission of Covid-19, has been issued for strict compliance by all stakeholders at Longleng town with immediate effect.

CHEGA GADI CELEBRATED AT TENING

Tening Village Namsan (New Tening Village) under Peren District Celebrated Chega Gadi which is the most important festival of the Liangmai Naga on 30th October 2020. The festival falls in the month of Chagahiu i.e, October 30th & 31st every year. Earlier the forefathers observed this festival for 4 to 5 days however the duration was reduced to 2 to 3.

UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION EXTENSION OF TIMELINES FOR ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

The University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education, Government of India had invited fresh applications (including renewals) from regular and full time students under the following four schemes for the Academic Year 2020- 2021: (1) Indira Gandhi PG Scholarship for Single Girl Child (SGC); (2) PG Scholarship for University Rank Holder candidate (URH); (3) Ishan Uday Special scheme for North Eastern Region (NER); (4) PG Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST candidates.
