The Joint Secretary for Home Department, Hiazu Meru issued the report on COVID-19 lock down for Nagaland as on 12th June 2020 and stated that there was no violation of the lock down nor incidents of law & order in the State.

“Today, 9 samples have been tested positive for COVID-19, and another 17 samples had got tested negative yesterday night. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 156. Out of this, the total active cases are 115 and 41 have recovered. All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals.

Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has informed all concerned that the report of 5 (five) COVID-19 positive cases, returnees from Chennai who are admitted at COVID Hospital Tuensang have tested negative for COVID-19 as per report received from the Chief Medical Officer, Tuensang. Subsequent actions are being taken as per the SOP. With 5 (five) positive cases being tested negative, Tuensang district has no COVID-19 positive case now.

DC Mon, Thavaseelan K. IAS has notified that in view of the impending arrival of the returnees from Dimapur and proposed testing of the returnees in the quarantine centres, a total lockdown is hereby imposed in Mon Town from 12th -15th June 2020 with the following conditions.
