As part of COVID-19 Strategy under 'Mon against COVID-19', the Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, announced the installation of a Sample Collection Booth, also known as Walk-In- Sample Kiosk (WISK) at District Hospital, Mon on the 20th of April 2020. This project was initiated and fully sponsored by the District Administration.
DISTRICT COVID-19 WAR ROOM SET UP AT MON
Deputy Commissioner Mon informed that Mon District COVID-19 War Room was set up on 10/04/2020 at DRDA Conference Hall, comprising of officials from District Administration/Police/Health and family Welfare and various line departments of the District. The War Room acts as a single point for information collection in addition to monitoring people under quarantine on a daily basis.

DC Dimapur Anoop Khinchi has directed the Assistant Director of Supply, Dimapur and District technical team to ensure that the additional food grains under PMGKAY is issued/distributed by the FPS to the targeted group (PHH&AAY beneficiaries) through ePOS device without fail and to be alerted immediately in case of technical problem, the System Integrator (Integra) & NIC Dimapur.

DC MON NOTIFIES ON VIOLENCE AT HOME
Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K IAS notified that there may be instances of violence against women and children (especially girl children) at home during the lockdown period.

MASSIVE HAILSTORM HITS VILLAGES UNDER PUNGRO
Heavy rain accompanied with massive hailstones hit several villages in Pungro Sub-Division, Kiphire District on 21st April 2020, around 3:00 pm causing extensive damage and left the villagers in an intense difficulties.
