Kohima District Task Force on COVID-19 decided to impose total lockdown within Kohima Municipality from 25th to 31st July 2020. This was decided during its emergency meeting held in DC's Office chamber, Kohima on 23rd July 2020.
COMPLETE LOCKDOWN PROMULGATED IN KOHIMA
Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie has informed that as per the decision of the District Task Force (DTF) Kohima during its emergency meeting on 23rd July 2020 “Total Lockdown” of the Kohima Municipal Area under Kohima Sadar Jurisdiction w.e.f 25th July 2020 till 31st July 2020 has been promulgated.
DC MON NOTIFIES
DC, Mon, Thavaseelan K has notified that in view of direction given by ministry of health and family welfare government of India on N-95 masks, it is advised that N-95 masks with valved respirator not be used except when specified for use. It has been found that the use of valved respirator N-95 masks is detrimental to the measures adapted for preventing the spread of corona virus as it does not prevent the virus from escaping out of the masks.
ADVISORY ON PATIENTS COMING TO NAGALAND FOR TREATMENT OF NON-COVID ILLNESSES
In exercise of the powers conferred by the Nagaland Epidemic Disease (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020, the Department of Health & Family Welfare has issued the advisory on patients coming to Nagaland for treatment of Non-COVID illnesses as given below in the interest of public health.

KEZIEKIE CONTAINMENT ZONE LIFTED
Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie has informed that in view of the detection of Covid-19 Positive person at Keziekie Colony Kohima, Municipal Ward No. 3 has declared/demarcated it as a Containment Zone vide Notification on the 8th July 2020, whereby various restrictions were imposed to contain the spread of disease/infection and the zone/area was kept under strict and active Medical surveillance and movement within the zone was restricted/ prohibited to the public.
