The Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports has informed that the Sport Ministry (MYAS) has decided to establish 1000 Khelo India Centres (KIC) over a period of 4 years at the District Level across the country in the following mentioned disciplines:- 1) Archery, 2) Athletics, 3) Boxing, 4) Badminton, 5) Cycling, 6) Fencing, 7) Hockey 8) Judo, 9) Rowing, 10) Shooting, 11) Swimming, 12) Table Tennis, 12) Weightlifting, 14) Wrestling.

In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, DC Dimapur and Chairman DDMA, Anoop Khinchi, has ordered the sealing of the Office of the General Manager of NST Dimapur with immediate effect till further order.
He further cautioned that any person violating the containment measures will be liable to be proceeded as per the provision of Section 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC.

“The total number of positive cases in the State as on today stands at 1174. The positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
