In view of the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19 in the country which is also affecting the State, Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Nagaland, Kohima has formed a “Task Force” for preparation of Action Plan based on the prevailing situation.
DC KOHIMA ISSUES DIRECTIVES ON SHOPPING FOR PERISHABLE GOODS
With a view to encourage social distancing and minimise gathering of public in the market, the following directives and guidelines have been hereby issued by the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima.
ALL HEADS OF DEPTS/OFFICES DIRECTED TO BE IN THEIR POSTING PLACE
All the Administrative Heads of Departments, Heads of Departments and all the heads of offices of the Departments in the district have been informed to be in their respective headquarters from tomorrow i.e. 21st April 2020.
AIR KOHIMA RESUMES BROADCAST OF LOCAL DIALECT PROGRAMMES
All India Radio, Kohima has resumed the broadcast of local dialect programmes with effect from 20th April, 2020. The broadcast is being made in 14 local dialects keeping the public informed and updated on COVID-19 news and other important matters.
COVID-19 LOCKDOWN REPORT IN THE STATE
Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Home Commissioner and Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland issued the report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & Services in the State for the 19thApril 2020. According to the report, no violation of the lockdown was reported in any part of the State.
DC DIMAPUR INFORMS FARMERS
The Dimapur District Administration has informed all concerned that farmers and other persons involved in agriculture and allied activities were exempted from the lockdown. Therefore, movement of persons involved in agriculture and allied activities should not be obstructed/hindered in the colonies as instances of violation are liable to be penalized under section 188 of the IPC.
