Bye Election to 60 Pungro Kiphire A/C was conducted smoothly, there were no untoward reported incidents from the polling station except in one polling station No 11. Total percentage of votes cast was 89.80%.

Amur Flacons are protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. As such, hunting, trapping, killing or selling of Amur Flacons could lead to three (3) years of imprisonment or a fine of Rs. 25000 or both under Section 51 of the said Act.

In view of the conduct for Bye-Election to the 14th Southern Angami- I(ST) Assembly Constituency 2020 on 3rd November 2020, the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab A has relaxed the 'Odd-Even' system for movement of vehicles for one day 3rd November 2020 under the jurisdiction of Kohima district.

Polling personnel moved out for their Bye Election duty to 60 Pungro Kiphire A/C. Due to the bad condition of the road in some villages, some of the polling party moved out yesterday since they have to walk on foot. Five women teams were also sent as polling personnel to their respective assigned villages.
