The Deputy Commissioner Longleng has informed all concerned that some village and ward authorities are imposing unwarranted rules deviant from the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) causing unnecessary harassment to the healthcare workers and other frontline workers. 

Deputy commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has notified that in order to facilitated Contact Tracing of persons affected with COVID-19 in the near future, he directed that the concerned family/organisers should mandatorily maintain a register with records of visitors/guests attending any kinds of gathering such as marriages, funerals, prayer meetings, baby christening functions, etc within Mon district.

Chairman NBSE, Asano Sekhose has informed that in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the felicitation function for the rank holders of HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2020 will not be held this year and necessary arrangements will be made to transfer the cash awards to the bank accounts of the 4(four) Toppers and Achievers in MILs & Skill Education subjects.

The District Task Force (DTF) Phek for COVID-19 has expressed profound gratitude to Neiba Kronu, Minister for Planning and Coordination and Land Revenue and also the state spokesperson for COVID-19 for donating TrueNat machines at Chozuba and Pfutsero block.

As on today, the total number of positive cases in the State stands at 1021. All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

The Commissioner & Secretary Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Dr. P.J. Antony has informed that the Business Advisory Committee held a meeting on 20th July, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Assembly Committee Room under the Chairmanship of Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly and finalised the Provisional Programme for the Sixth Session of the 13th Assembly. The Committee decided to hold a one day Session on 30th July, 2020.
