The Home Department has informed that deserving cases for the award of Governor's Gold Medal / Governor's Commendation Certificates on the occasion of Independence Day, 15th August 2022 have been invited. Citations/Recommendations of deserving cases may be forwarded to Special Secretary (Home) Nagaland, Kohima latest by 15th July 2022.

In pursuant to the Deputy Commissioner Kohima Office Notice of even no. dated 08.02.2022 and 28.04.2022 for the vacation of stalls/shops at Kohima Local Ground/ Khouchiezie, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C. IAS has directed all concerned to vacate the same with immediate effect.

The Kiphire inspection team inspected the check gate located at Jail ward, Kiphire town on 15th June 2022. The team made spot verification of the authorized check gate to see whether the laid down directives issued by the government are being strictly followed.

Based on reliable input about a drug smuggler arriving from Manipur with drugs on 15.06.2022, the SP Crime & PRO PHQ, Nagaland has informed that the personnel of CID Branch Dimapur at around 1700 hrs, apprehended one suspect from Dimapur Blue Hill station area namely Somi Valui Tangkhul, S/o-Late Ningaima Tangkhul, V/o-Snakathei, PS-Ukhrul, Manipur, and upon search, one black coloured polybag containing about 2.820 Kg
