Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Kohima Nagaland informs all the general public of Wokha district that, jungle clearance and maintenance programme of 132KV,66V & 33KV Lines is scheduled starting from 9th October 2021 till 16th October 2021 under Wokha district from 8:00AM to 3:00 PM in an effort to avoid disruption and facilitate stable power supply.

The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS in an order stated that it has come to the notice that there are construction/building materials, stone, logs, timbers, off road vehicles etc. lying along the road/Highway causing obstruction to free flow of traffic and pedestrian movement. Therefore, in the interest of public order and safety, dumping of such materials and parking of off-road vehicles along the highway is strictly prohibited.

SDO, Electrical Sub-Division, Wokha Er.Thanyalo Kath has informed that it has come to the notice that rampant electricity theft is prevailing by means of illegal connection and whereas under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act 2003 illegal connection, hooking, looping of electric supply line or tampering with meter is a punishable offence.
