PEREN DISTRICT LEGAL TEAM ON COVID-19 HOLDS MEETING

Peren District Legal Team held a meeting at DC Complex, District Hq. Peren on 26th June, 2020. The meeting was presided by EAC Ngwalwa, Rumbemo T. Kithan.

Addressing the meeting EAC Ngwalwa-cum-Legal Team Convener, Rumbemo T. Kithan stated that the meeting is conducted to look into legal provisions related to the violation of Government Order by inmates of quarantine facility as well as Government employees.

DC PEREN ISSUES ORDER ON TOTAL LOCKDOWN IN PEREN DISTRICT

In view of the large number of returnees from outside the state having completed their facility quarantine period within the district and following the SOPs, being sent for community/home quarantine to their respective villages/wards and considering that many frontline workers have been engaged in managing the returnees, it is deemed necessary to take stringent precautions to prevent any unlikely incident that may result in local or community transmission.

DEF LONGLENG CONDUCTS ONLINE VIDEO COMPETITION

In connection with International Day against Drugs Abuse and illicit trafficking, the DEF Longleng has conducted an open online video competition on the topic “Impact of Drugs in Longleng”. The result of the online competition was declared on 26th June 2020. After scrutiny the following persons were declared as the winners of the competition. (1). KonaeiShangdok, Kohima, (2). Hom-mei S Phom, Noklangkhong Longleng and (3).

REPORT ON COVID-19 LOCK DOWN

Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Hiazu Meru issued the daily report on Law & Order and Facilitation of Essential Goods & Services in the State for 26th June. He informed that 6 violations of the lock down have been reported and 6(Six) persons were bound down. An amount of Rs. 700(Seven Hundred) was imposed as fine for not wearing masks.  He added that no incident of law & order has been reported in the State.
