STATE ROUND UP REPORT ON COVID-19 AS ON 2ND MAY 2020

Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland Abhijit Sinha has issued on Law & Order report on COVID-19 as on 2nd May 2020 which stated that 14 persons violated the lockdown process. Remedial steps were also taken against the violations and meanwhile one FIR was registered and 13 persons were bound down.

ADC TENING NOTIFIES FOR SEALING OF BORDERS

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Tening, Rhosietho Nguori has issued an order for sealing of borders on 3rd May, 2020.

All the Village Councils/ Village authorities under Tening Sub Division have been directed to strictly monitor and implement the sealing of borders and to report any unauthorised entry of people in the  respective villages, whether from within or outside the state.

BRIEFING ON COVID-19 ON 2ND OF MAY 2020 FOR NAGALAND BY NEIBA KRONU, MINISTER, PLANNING & COORDINATION, LAND REVENUE AND PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS

“Dear Citizens of Nagaland,

A total of 674 samples have been sent for testing from the State till date, and results of 661 samples have been received and all have been tested as negative. The results for the remaining 13 samples are awaited. Today a total of 1397 persons have been screened and a total of 21 persons are under Facility Quarantine.

CHIEF SECRETARY NOTIFIES

The Chief Secretary, Nagaland, Temjen Toy, IAS has issued an ordered that all the existing guidelines with regard to the Lockdown in all parts of the State issued vide Order of even number dated 20.04.2020, will continue to remain operative till the issuance of fresh guidelines.

DIPR CAUTIONS

With reference to the news item in Naga News dated, 29th April 2020 regarding one patient testing positive for COVID-19 at Tuensang, it is clearly mentioned that this was a mock drill exercise held at the GHSS Tuensang. As such, everyone is cautioned to refrain from sending out false information to the public through social media platforms unnecessarily creating unrest among the people.

DC KOHIMA ISSUES ORDER ON LOCKDOWN

The Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie NCS issued an order stating that all the existing guidelines with regard to lockdown in Kohima District as notified earlier will continue to remain operatives till further Order. The directives are issued for strict compliance of all concerned.

The Order was issued with reference to the Chief Secretary Order dated 2nd May 2020.
