The first phase training for Presiding and 1st Polling Officers for the conduct of Bye-Election to the Southern Angami I (ST) Assembly Constituency was held at DC's Conference Hall and DPDB's conference hall Kohima simultaneously on 14th October 2020.

The trainings were imparted by the District Level Master Trainers Bodevi Shüya, Pikato Jimo, Sedevizo Ziephru and Er. Imsuyanger.

The International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction is celebrated every 13th of October. This day is dedicated globally as International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction since 1989 after a call by the UN General Assembly to promote a culture of risk awareness and risk reduction.

“A total of 123 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 37 in Kohima, 66 in Dimapur, 19 in Mokokchung and 1 in Mon. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 7,363.

Several activities were taken up in Mon District in the week leading up to International Day of the Girl Child on 11th October 2020.
