The closing programme of the 72nd Republic day state level function was held at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza Kohima with Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha as the guest of honor.

 Governor's Award for outstanding contribution was given out during the Governor's "At Home" programme which was held on 26th January at the Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima.

            The 72nd Indian Republic Day was celebrated at Mokokchung on 26th January 2021 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex with Minister Higher Education & Tribal Affairs Nagaland, Temjen Imna Along as the Chief Guest.

 Addressing the people on the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day celebrations at the Secretariat Plaza, Kohima, the Governor of Nagaland, R.N. Ravi expressed gratitude to the founding fathers whose sacrifices, sweat and blood created the Republic of India and also paid tribute to the founding fathers of Nagaland for constitutionally safeguarding the Nagas way of life, their land and resources.
