“Today 7 more people who have returned to Nagaland have been tested positive for COVID-19. The total active cases in the State now stand at 43. All the positive persons are being kept under medical observation at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and active surveillance is being carried out to prevent further spreading of the infection.

Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie, NCS has informed that in the wake of some returnees being tested positive for Covid-19, it has come to the knowledge of the undersigned that some people from certain Colonies/Wards are restricting free movement of the heathcare workers, cleaners, drivers and all other frontline workers from performing their assigned duties diligently.
REPORT ON COVID-19 STATE LAW & ORDER
The COVID-19 Control room and State Emergency Operation Centre Home Department has issued the report on Law & Order across the state as on 30th May, 2020. Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland Hiazu Meru stated that, while remedial steps taken against violations 50 Vehicles were under various Sections of MV Act imposed fines =Rs, 8.700/- (Eight Thousand Seven Hundred).
DC TUENSANG ORDERS ON MOVEMENT OF FRONT LINE WORKERS
Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has issued an order for strict compliance of all concerned that Wards /sectors/colonies have set up barricades/check gates to check the movement of people in view of COVID-19 pandemic which is jeopardising the free movement of front line workers on COVID-19 duty.
DC MON RESTRICTS
Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, in an order has notified to all the general public that the Mokha Nullah Bridge located around 24 km from Longching between Jakphang and Ukha Villages has been partially damaged due to land sinkage. Therefore, for the safety of all, plying of heavy vehicles over the bridge as mentioned above has been strictly restricted with immediate effect, till restoration work is completed.
