Incessant rainfall since around 1 a.m. on 8^th August, 2026, triggered waterlogging and localised flooding in several parts of Dimapur district, prompting the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to intensify monitoring of flood-prone and low-lying areas.

Extra Assistant Commissioner, Kiphire, Zavito, NCS, has informed all concerned that in view of the major landslide/mudslide at Chainage: 78+00 & 79+836 under Package - 1V of  NH-29 Kohima-Jessami Road under Mesulumi Village, all vehicular movement along the aforementioned stretch of NH-29 shall remain suspended for road clearance and in the interest of public safety w.e.f 5th August 2026 till further order.

The Nagaland E-Sports Society (NES), in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland, will organise the Tech & Gaming Expo (TXG) 2026 on August 28 and 29, 2026 at the NBCC Convention Hall, Kohima. The two-day event will mark the state’s first dedicated technology, gaming and innovation expo, bringing together competitive gaming, game development, technology, education, career opportunities and the creator economy on a single platform.

The August meeting of the Pughoboto Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) was held on Thursday, 6th August 2026, at the Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Pughoboto, chaired by Dr. Sukhato A. Sema, MLA and Chairman, SDPDB Pughoboto.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tuli Sub-division, has informed all recognized political parties under 21–Tuli Assembly Constituency that a meeting regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) OF Electoral Roll 2026 will be held on 10th August 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the Office of the ADC, Tuli.
