Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak, NCS, informed to the general public of Mon town, that the 42 Assam Rifles will be conducting firing and explosive practice at the Unit Firing Range, Tactical Headquarters, Mon, from 26 February to 15th March 2026 from 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM.
During the said period, loud sound of firing and explosion may be heard in and around Mon Town and adjoining areas. Therefore, the public is advised not to panic, as it is part routine training.

The Directorate of School Education, Kohima has informed to all concern that the application forms for provisional recognition, renewal of provisional recognition and up-gradation of permitted Private Schools (Primary and Upper Primary) and forms for provisional recognition and renewal of provisional recognition of permitted Pre-Schools have been uploaded on the Department’s Website https://education.nagaland.gov.in.
