The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Guwahati Bench will hold a Circuit Court Sitting at Kohima, Nagaland, on 8th and 9th October 2026, through hybrid mode. The sitting will be conducted by a Division Bench comprising Rajinder Singh Dogra, Member (Judicial), and Mallika Arya, Member (Administrative).

REFORM UTSAV ACTIVITIES INTEGRATED WITH THE PEOPLE’S PLAN CAMPAIGN (PPC) LAUNCHED ACROSS LONGLENG DISTRICT
The Reform Utsav, a citizen-centric initiative of the Government of India, was successfully launched across all Administrative Headquarters of Longleng District, namely Longleng, Sakshi, Tamlu, Yachem, Namsang and Yongnyah, on 2nd October 2026.
The programme was coordinated by the District Administration, Longleng, in collaboration with the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), the nodal department, and various line departments across the district.
SWACHH BHARAT DIWAS 2026 OBSERVED AT HUKPHANG VILLAGE LONGLENG
Swachh Bharat Diwas 2026 was observed at Hukphang village, Longleng on 2nd October 2026 as part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) Campaign with the objective of reinforcing the importance of cleanliness, sanitation, responsible waste management, and community participation.
The programme was organized at Longleng Block, with active participation from the village community, local representatives, and departmental staff.

DC MON NOTIFIES ON SALE AND USE OF FIRECRACKERS IN MON DISTRICT
Deputy Commissioner, Mon Wennyei Konyak, NCS has notified the regulation of sale and use of firecrackers in Mon District. The notification stated that Firecrackers are brought into Mon District from outside and are sold and used during Diwali and other festive occasions. It observed that the use of firecrackers may cause air and noise pollution and pose risk to public safety.
