International Mother Language Day was observed on the theme “Youth Voices on Multilingual Education” at Sümedem Fellowship, DABA, Lengrijan, Dimapur on February 21, 2026. The programme was jointly organised by Dimapur Watsù Telungjem and Ao Kaketshir Telungjem, Dimapur.
DC PEREN ISSUES TRAVEL ADVISORY ON RESTRICTION OF HEAVY VEHICLES
Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Hiazu Meru has informed that in view of the ongoing road construction and geo-grid installation works between District Hq, Peren and Jalukie Pungchi, plying of heavy vehicles on the aforementioned stretch shall remain closed with effect from 21st February 2026, except for those vehicles belonging to the construction firm.
PHED INFORMS ON WATER DISRUPTION IN KOHIMA
Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has informed the public within Kohima municipal jurisdiction that water supply is disrupted due to mainline breakage near LG Showroom at D Block, water supply will be temporarily disrupted on the subsequent days ahead in the affected areas. The areas impacted include: Phoolbari, Midland, D Block, New Market, Naga Bazar, Kitsubozou, Kezekie, Themezie, L Khel, Krouliezou, Bayavü, High School, and Secretariat Area.
