“The total number of positive cases in the State as on today stands at 978. All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
An emergency Peren DTF on COVID-19 meeting was called by ADC Jalukie Dr Tinojongshi Chang, NCS on 17th July, 2020 at COVID Control Room, Peren on receipt of the RT PCR and TrueNat reports for 17th July, 2020.
Principal Director School Education, Shanavas C, IAS has notified for the information of all concerned that the Department of School Education, Nagaland intends to conduct a Survey among parents of all students studying in Government & Private schools under the department on 22ndJuly 2020 from 3:00 p.m to 3:45 p.m. on matters related to reopening of schools after the lockdown gets lifted.

ADC & Administrator Longleng Town Council D. Robin in an order stated that in pursuance to the National Directives for COVID-19 Management, and in continuation to the earlier order of the ADC & Administrator Longleng Town Council No.LTC/LLG/ORDER-8/2017-18/108 dated Longleng 10thMay 2020 all concerned has been directed to adhere to the following guidelines.
1. Compulsory wearing of face cover/mask.
As per the information received on 17th July, 2020 from Chief Medical Officer Office, Peren one COVID positive case has been confirmed from the Non Healthcare Frontline Worker (Security Personnel).
One case of TrueNat test positive and confirmation awaited and one case of TrueNat positive but ICMR negative. Contact tracing has also been activated and active surveillance is being undertaken.
