Many organizations and individuals have come forward to contribute towards the fund drive effort that was initiated by District Administration, Tuensang to provide immediate relief to the families that were most affected by the total lockdown. The target groups being destitute, daily wage earners, orphans, stranded students, stranded migrant workers etc. 

In the event of District Hospitals being converted to dedicated COVID-19 Hospital, the Principal Director, H&FW, Dr.

Director Food & Civil Supplies Asangla Imti through an OM issued by the department instructed all the ADS’s on Implementation of PRADHAN MANTRI GARIB KALYAN ANNA YOJANA (PM-GKAY) in the districts during COVID-19 Pandemic.

Joint Secretary, Tribal Affairs, Government of Nagaland Rahul Mali, IAS has been nominated as the Nodal Officer for stranded migrant labourers and daily wage earners in the State for various mitigation arising out of COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Anoop Khinchi, IAS in an order issued on 3rd April 2020 stated that Home Delivery Agencies for essential commodities permitted by DMC, LPG Bottling plant officials and staff, LPG Distributors and Media are exempted from the lockdown in Dimapur with immediate effect till further order.

According to the report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & Services for 3rd of April 2020, 14 violations of the lockdown were reported in the State. Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, while issuing the report stated that 18 persons have been arrested and 14 non-FIR cases have been registered. However, no fine was imposed and no vehicle was seized.
