In exercise of the powers conferred by the Nagaland Epidemic Disease (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020 under the Epidemic Disease Act 1897, the Department of Health & Family Welfare has informed that Dimapur District Hospital has been identified as COVID-19 HOSPITAL. Therefore, the following alternative arrangements are prepared for the convenience of patients:

Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant has issued an order that the following items /activities under Tuensang District jurisdiction are exempted from the purview of the Lock down with regard to COVID - 19 prevention :

Minister Planning & Coordination and State Spokesperson for Covid-19, Neiba Kronu while briefing on Covid-19 informed that All Nagaland Counsellors Association (ANCA) have volunteered to render telephonic counselling services especially to those under quarantine. He asked those needing counselling to send request through WhatsApp to the following number - 7005251298. The timings for counselling are given below:

Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Home Commissioner and Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland issued the report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & Services for the 1st of April 2020 in the State. According to the report, 40 violations of the lockdown were reported.

The University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, Secretary, Prof.Rajnish Jain has issued a notification in view of fight against COVID- 19, time and again had issued several advisories to ensure the safety and health of stakeholders, which include the Students, Faculty members, Researchers, Non- Teaching staff members and other, by taking necessary precautionary and providing required support.
