District Magistrate Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS in an order dated 18th January 2023 has informed that to conduct free, fair participative, accessible, inclusive and safe Election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2023, and in exercise of the power conferred under section 144 CrPC, 1973 has prohibited carrying of any kind of arms or ammunition by any person within Peren District. 

Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Noklak, K Mhathung Tsanglao in a notification notified that in view of the forthcoming General Elections to 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2023, all Arms license holders under Noklak District have been directed to deposit their Arms license along with Arms/Weapons at the nearest Police Station as per the address given in the license on or before 31st January 2023.<

 The Celebration of 13th National Voters' Day (NVD), under the theme, "Nothing like Voting, I Vote for sure", shall be observed on 25th January 2023 at 11:00 AM, DC's conference hall Phek.

Consequent upon the announcement of the schedule for the General Election in the State, Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS, has directed all Head of Offices and all the government employees under Mokokchung District to be in station with immediate effect.

            In pursuance of the Chief Electoral Officer letter and Election Commission of India, Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS, has informed all the Bank Managers/Branch Managers under Mokokchung District to consider a single window with dedicated staff so as to facilitate prospective candidates for opening of separate Bank Account on priority basis.

Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh IAS under his Chairmanship has constituted a committee in the district in order to ensure observation of Model Code of Conduct and smooth conduct of General election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023.
