Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS has informed that all stand alone shops and outlets in Mon District are permitted to open with 50% strength of workers with wearing of masks and social distancing being mandatory except for the following category of shops:

DC Dimapur Anoop Khinchi has informed that in absence of any positive cases for the last 21days the containment zone in Dimapur is restricted to Thakurbari area only.

Consultative meeting with various civil societies was held on 5th May, 2020 at Conference Hall, District Hq. Peren under the chairmanship of DC Peren cum DTF Chairman, Sentiwapang Aier. The meeting was convened to seek the opinion of the Civil Societies or Church Organisations.
FACILITATION CELL OPENED AT KOHIMA FOR STRANDED PEOPLE
Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie has informed that the Government will allow movements of local/indigenous people who are stranded and in distress and who desires to return back to their Home Districts or Villages.
The following actions are therefore initiated to ensure seamless movement as per laid down standard protocols.
SAYO INFORMS ON VEHICULAR MOVEMENT ALONG NH 29
The Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO), in a press release on 5th May, 2020, stated that for precautionary measures against COVID-19 and welfare of general public, it had earlier issued a notification on 16th April, 2020 restricting vehicular movement along NH-29, carrying essential commodities for neighbouring State Manipur.
