Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS has informed that in view of the Bye-General Election to the 14 Southern Angami I Assembly Constituency, and in pursuance of the instructions of the Election Commission of India it is hereby informed to all concerned, particularly the political parties, candidates and party workers that cash exceeding Rs.50,000/-

In view of the Bye Election to the 14th Southern Angami- I Assembly Constituency and in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India, regarding preventive action to ensure of peaceful, free and fair Poll during the elections and for preserving public peace and safety, Gregory Thejawelie DC and District Magistrate, Kohima has directed all the licensed arm holders to deposit their arms and ammunition to the nearest Police Stations on or before 19th October 2020. 

One day National webinar on 'National Education Policy (NEP 2020)- Strategic Roadmap for North East India' jointly organised by the Department of Education and Department of Teacher Education Nagaland University will be held on 7th October 2020 at 11 am.

Nagaland Governor RN Ravi who is also the Chief Rector of NU will be the special guest at the webinar.
