Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS has stated that as per the letter received from the Directorate of Rural Development, Nagaland, Kohima, 50% of GIA is released as 1st instalment to enable the Villages to meet the immediate needs to combat COVID-19. In this regard, the following advisory is issued to the Villagers in regard to the utilisation of the same:-

Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Anoop Kinchi IAS has appealed to the public to stay at home and not to come out in the street un- necessarily as the nation lockdown was still enforced. In case of emergency only, public are advised to avail the essential commodities from the colony markets during the specified timing ie from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
DC DIMAPUR ISSUES ADVISORY ON SOCIAL DISTANCING
Dimapur Anoop Khinchi in an official letter addressed to ADS, Food & Civil Supplies, Dimapur, informed the re-opening of Fair Price Shops in Dimapur with effect from 6th April 2020 from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. DC further requested the ADS to direct the FPS to maintain social distancing of atleast one metre at all times.

DC KIPHIRE INFORMS ALL VILLAGE COUNCILS & VDBs UNDER KIPHIRE DISTRICT
Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Sarita Yadav IAS has informed all the village councils & VDBs under Kiphire district that in the wake of recent global outbreak of corona virus disease, the Department of Rural development has decided to release 50% of grant in- aid to VDBs for the year 2019-20 to enable the villages to ensure preparedness against the spread of COVID-19 in their respective jurisdictions.
