“A total of 56 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 24 in Kohima, 27 in Dimapur, 2 in Mon, 1 in Phek and 2 in Tuensang. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 9,207.

Scrutiny of polling documents and materials as part of bye election to 60 Pungro Kiphire A/C was held at DC Conference Hall Kiphire on 4th November 2020 at around 11:30 a.m.

There were no anomalies during the scrutiny and it was informed that repoll will be held at Singrep village polling station 11. Date for repoll is still awaited from the higher authority. Scrutiny was done in the presence of the RO, Observers, all the five candidates and election agents.

Vice-Chairman & DC Wokha Orenthung Lotha, has informed that the monthly meeting that the monthly meeting of the Wokha District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of November 2020 will be held on 09th November 2020 at DC's conference hall at 11: 00 AM. 

Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman, DPDB Zunheboto has informed all the members that the DPDB meeting for the month of November is scheduled on 10th November 2020 at 11 am at town hall Zunheboto. Therefore all the members have been informed to respond positively.

Bye Election to 60 Pungro Kiphire A/C was conducted smoothly, there were no untoward reported incidents from the polling station except in one polling station No 11. Total percentage of votes cast was 89.80%.
